Reality, Man…

It takes a lot out of me. There’s stuff like clothes you’ve got to put on, feet you need to try not smack into bed frames and chairs, a body that needs water to drink, food to eat, but not too much food, especially the foods you like, and air you’ve got to breathe. So many fricking things you have to remember. Like how things are solid. Like walls. Walls you shouldn’t walk into. And pavement. Pavement you shouldn’t trip on and fall into head first. Stuff like that all the time. It’s exhausting. I really don’t know how you humans do it.

I tried to make him look sort of “normal.” I’m trying to deal with reality, but it really doesn’t work for me.

So, I think I’ll just cruise on by reality. Yeah, I’ll just skip the turn-off at “Reality.” Drive past it and head right into, well, my world. The place where anything is possible, except reality….

Found in a desk drawer amongst leaves of sketches…

...she was happy to once again see the light of day. Or even the dark of night...just to be free of that musty old drawer.

…drawn for a dear friend, Doreen was happy to once again see the light of day. Or even the dark of night…it did not matter as long as she was out of that  stuffy old drawer.

...Take them out of that desk drawer or off that back, back burner. Set them free, set them free and see what true pleasure they can bring.
Take them out of that stuffy, musty, fussy ol’ desk drawer or off that crusty, never-oft-used, way, way, back, back burner. Set them free, set them free, let them sing, let them dance, or even put you in a faery trance and you will see what true reigning pleasure that they can bring.
